How To Find Trending Sounds On Instagram
You've probably already heard it before, but the future of Instagram is focusing heavily on Instagram Reels! The algorithm pushes Reels content more than any other type. And using a trending sound will be just what you need to give your Reel a bit of a boost, get more eyes on your video, and get more clicks to your bio.
So here is a quick and straightforward way you can find what audios are trending at any time! And we'll even include this digital marketing checklist to help you follow along:
How To Find Trending Audios On Instagram
Step One: Open Your App
We know, this one might be obvious - but it is the first step nevertheless!
Step Two: Tap The IG Reels Icon
You can find this icon at the bottom of your screen. It will be at the center of the bar between the magnifying glass (🔍) and the shopping bag (🛍).
Step Three: Look At The Sound That Started Playing
A Reel will automatically start playing once you click the Reels icon. You can see the sound that the Reel used beneath the caption.
Step Four: Check To See If It Has The Trending Icon
The trend icon is an arrow pointing to the top right (↗). If the sound of the Reel you're watching is trending, then the symbol will appear to the left of it.
Step Five: If You Don't See The Symbol, Swipe Up
If you do see the symbol, skip this step! But if you don't, keep swiping up until you see a sound with that symbol. And don't worry, these are trending sounds so you'll likely see one very soon!
Step Six: Tap The Trending Sound Symbol
Once you tap the symbol, you will see all the sound details including: how many Reels used the sound, the name of the sound, the picture associated with the sound, and the top performing videos that use the sound.
Step Seven: Tap "Save Audio"
Saving this audio means that you won't have to remember it later on. And if you're looking for more than once trending sound, saving them will be useful for your sound inventory.
Step Eight: Click The Back Arrow
This will bring you back to the Reels explore page, where you can continue swiping so you can find other sounds that are trending!
