Jamie Cocco, Founder and Owner
Jamie is the proud founder of Empowered Social Media and Empowered Digital Marketing. His love for marketing dates back to his childhood when he was the pint-sized entrepreneur selling homemade scratch tickets to his family. With a decent profit margin, this was just the beginning of his journey into the dynamic world of marketing!
Fast forward to today, and Jamie is a self-proclaimed marketing nerd with thousands of hours of hands-on experience under his belt. His passion lies in community building, marketing strategy, and analytics.
As a husband and father of two amazing teenagers, a newborn, and two wonderful rescue dogs, life is always bustling in Jamie’s household! This diverse experience fuels his creativity and understanding of what truly resonates with people.
He specializes in digital marketing, bringing a wealth of knowledge in market research, marketing strategy, CRM management, scheduling, and automations. With a focus on data-driven solutions and careful attention to detail, Jamie ensures that every project he touches is executed with excellence.
Jocelyn Figueroa, Marketing Director
I’m from Springfield, Massachusetts and I began working with social media in the Spring of 2018. I’ve since fallen in love with how it is able to keep a community connected even when the members are far apart. I first got into social media when my friends convinced me that joining the platforms would be fun - a conviction that proved to be true, especially with Instagram. That single platform, with its visual content and caption potential, managed to hold my interest by providing me with a different medium to indulge in my favorite hobbies: reading, writing, and designing. While other platforms, such as Facebook, have not completely charmed me yet, I still find myself visiting a few pages when I’m not spending time with my bunnies or rereading my favorite book, The Secret Garden.
Katrina Faust, Communications Director
I have worked in social media for over 7 years and I love the sense of community it creates. I joined Empowered Social Media in September 2021. I also run a small business on Etsy, where I sell Animal-Crossing inspired items. In my free time, I stream games on Twitch, binge TV, and grow my online gaming community on social media. I also love to travel and one of my favorite hobbies is training my rescue dog, Miika, to run agility courses.
My recent travels include Glacier National Park in Montana, Italy, and Iceland.
Sindy Valdez, Project Manager, Bilingual
I’m from Los Angeles, California and have worked in social media and marketing for over a decade. I enjoy seeing concepts come to fruition and enjoy watching clients prosper. I feel most comfortable collaborating behind the scenes, especially during filming or photo shoots. I am proud to work with such a dedicated team that is also passionate about helping clients prosper. Hikes, beaches, travel, dance, cosplaying, and trying new restaurants are things I’m always up for. My passions include filmmaking, writing, and preserving history through digital media. I prefer Marvel over DC, Comedies over Action films, and Instagram over TikTok.

Meet Jamie’s Wife and behind the scenes motivation for the business. Her support, guidance, strategic planning, brainstorming, and editing has and continues to evolve the business into what it is known today. She loves chocolate covered strawberries, going on adventures, spending time outside and with friends.
