At Empowered Social Media, we believe in creating the best client experience. We're a holistic marketing company that serves New England, Pennsylvania, and Florida, specializing in social media management, website development, and content marketing. We care about giving back to our communities and empowering marketers to sustainably grow their businesses.
It all started when…
Our founder, Jamie, attended PodCamp in 2018, where he hoped to learn from other social media experts in the area. When he got there, he was asked to present on Facebook and Instagram Marketing because nobody else was presenting on social media. This was absolutely terrifying to Jamie and with little prep, he presented two back-to-back sessions on the spot. At the end, people came up to him asking for his business card, which he didn’t have because he didn’t have a business yet.
At the end of 2018, he soft-launched Empowered Social Media with no promotion and only a half-ready Facebook Page. This immediately brought in two clients, telling him definitively that this was what he was meant to do. Jamie added his first team member, Laura, in 2019 and grew the business further. Since then Empowered Social Media has grown into a larger team of 6. You can learn more about the team here.

Once upon a time in 2018, a visionary named Jamie Cocco embarked on a mission to empower businesses through the power of social media. Thus, Empowered x Media was born, coaching businesses to create their own social media strategies and reach new heights.
As the company grew, Jamie realized that a strong digital presence requires more than just social media prowess and so Empowered Social Media branched out into other aspects of digital marketing.
And now for the story of Empowered Digital Marketing
The journey of expansion began with Laura, who opened up new horizons by offering email marketing and content marketing services.
Then came Jocelyn, the first full-time team member and Marketing Director, bringing website design, development, and SEO expertise.
In 2021, Kat joined as our Communications Director, contributing her skills in graphic design, branding, and logo services while reinforcing our social media marketing capabilities.
Vanessa, one of our bilingual (Spanish language) team members, added social media, content marketing, translation, and graphic design experience, playing a crucial role in launching our Etsy store.
As 2022 came to an end, we welcomed Sindy, our bilingual (Spanish language) project manager. Sindy streamlined our processes and systems, ensuring an exceptional client experience and became our personal in-house AI expert for all of our artificial intelligence questions.
With all of the changes and growth, the name of the business didn’t feel like the right fit for all of our holistic digital marketing services. It was time for a change – and so, Empowered Digital Marketing emerged as the umbrella brand, encompassing Empowered Social Media and future departmental sectors.
