Call-To-Action Ideas For Small Businesses

Call-To-Action Ideas For Small Businesses

If you’ve read our blog before, you’ve noticed how much we speak about the importance of call-to-actions (otherwise known as CTAs). We’ve discussed how they could improve your Facebook page, how not using them could be detrimental to your Instagram strategy, and how you should fit them into your tweets.

But most of all, we have dedicated entire blogs to CTAs, doing a deep dive into all the reasons why businesses should be using them and how to properly optimize them. Click the buttons below if you would like to read these blogs.

Now we would like to share some CTA ideas and examples to help make the process easier for you. Keep reading for some inspiration!

CTAs To Increase Awareness of Your Business

Businesses have many goals when it comes to their social media, and one of them is to get more people to know about their brand. This is entirely possible! But when it comes to CTAs things can get a bit tricky - let me explain.

If a person just saw a post from your brand, then it’s likely that they aren’t going to want to take action. This is because they aren’t sure what your company is about yet. They’re not sure if they share the same values or mission with you, and they’re not sure if they can trust you.

What this means for you is that you might not want to use a CTA for a post that’s goal is to increase brand awareness. Instead, you’ll just want to share information about your business without asking for anyone to do anything in return.

For example: if you post about a funny moment that happened at work in the hopes of new people discovering your light-hearted brand, then just explain what happened and don’t ask for your audience to like your posts or to click a link or to follow your page.

However, there are exceptions. If you post a video, then you can ask people to watch the video (since they won’t truly learn anything about your brand if they don’t). Or if you have an infographic, you can encourage people to read it. Therefore, here are two CTAs that you can use to increase awareness of your business:

CTAs To Increase Consideration About Your Business

Increasing consideration is another goal businesses have when they begin using social media to market their products and services. This is because a person isn’t going to make a purchase without considering the benefits and outcomes yet.

When it comes to consideration, there are a lot of CTAs you can use to help you. Unlike awareness posts, people who see your consideration posts are likely ready to engage with your brand. They know who you are, they like your brand, and they are curious to learn more about what you’re selling. So we encourage you to use a CTA in every post you created in order to build engagement and consideration.

So here are a few CTAs you can use to increase consideration about your business:

Note: you will know consideration is growing when engagement increases!

CTAs To Create Conversions

Creating conversions is probably the ultimate goal of every small business who markets on social media. So it’s important that you’re using the correct CTAs to help you achieve this goal.

Posts with the intent of creating conversions are directed toward people who have seen a product and service and are ready or almost ready to make a purchase. They might have a few questions, or are debating on which brand to purchase a product/service from - but they have basically made up their mind that they need a product/service and are going to buy it.
