HUGE FACEBOOK UPDATE: Creator Studio Is Going Away!

An update on Facebook and what it means for small businesses using it to market their products and services.

Facebook has finally made the decision to get rid of Creator Studio completely and to replace it with Business Suite (also known as metasuite or Meta Business Suite). If you've been keeping up to date with Facebook and its developments, you'll know that this announcement was one we have been waiting for years to hear.

What Does This Mean For Small Businesses?

It DOESN'T mean that you should panic!

What is DOES mean is that you should start familiarizing yourself with the Business Suite immediately. Find out how to use the platform, what tools are still available to you, and what the publishing and scheduling process will be like. If you do this before Creator Studio is shut down, then the transition will feel more seamless and your posting schedule will remain consistent.

Is Business Suite Free?

Yes, Business Suite is definitely free to anyone who has a Facebook business account.

Can You Schedule Facebook Reels With Business Suite?

We recently showed you how to upload Reels from Creator Studio, and now you might be wondering if this is possible on Business Suite. And the answer is… yes, it is! This is a new development that we're so glad Facebook created before getting rid of Creator Studio.

Here is how you can schedule Reels using Business Suite:

  1. Go to https://business.facebook.com/

  2. Click Planner in the lefthand menu.

  3. Click the arrow next to the blue Create button at the top right of your screen.

  4. Choose "Create Reel."

  5. Now you can start composing your Reel!

Does Business Suite Provide Insights and Analytics?

It does! You can’t have a successful social media marketing strategy without your analytics, so luckily for us, Facebook included this in their new tool. Business Suite provides information on how many people you've reached, audience demographics, page visits, likes, followers, and how your individual posts performed.
